He's walking!
Yes that's right, Joshua's started to take his first few steps. Some of them are sideways, some forward. Sometimes he just falls back to the Earth with a bang. But sometimes, just sometimes, he will walk several paces before a gracefully controlled plummet to the Earth! Click on the image to the left to see a video of him walking.
Other than that, he's trying a bit more to speak. Still not really fully formed words, just sounds, but he does try to copy us as best he can. Current favourite sound is "more", especially when eating. Takes after his Daddy there then!
He's also playing much more now with his toys and keeping himself entertained - his increased manual dexterity seems to help here, he can now actually attach toys to other toys! His favourites at the moment his playballs - about 300 soft ball-pool type balls that he plays in and throws about. Entertaining, but very laborious tidying up afterwards!

1 Year Old Today
Happy Birthday Joshua, 1 year old today! No photo's yet as we're on our way to Center Parcs, but rest assured he got lots of lovely pressies :D

Teeth are coming...
Joshua's now got his 1st 2 teeth. Only little at the moment, but they are sharp :P

Look out... He's Mobile!
Now we've really got our hands full - Joshua's started crawling! He's been getting around for a little while, but
mainly by rolling so not really with any intended destination. But now he can see what he wants and he goes for it!
He's also managing to pull himself up the sofa sometimes. So now it really is time to put everything out of reach!

He's Speaking!
Well, in a manner of speaking...
Joshua has just (as of about age 9 months) started to form a word. And his first word was? "Daddy" - woohoo!
He's still practicing but in no time he'll be reciting Shakespeare :D

Joshua James Hargrave is Born!
Hello, my name is Joshua James Hargrave. I was born on 26th December 2006 when I weighed 6lb. My daddy has taught me HTML and JavaScript so that I can write a diary of my adventures on the internet. Not bad for someone who can't even speak yet, eh?!
Well, here I am! I was born at 1:45pm on December 26th, 2006 - 3 weeks earlier than I was due, so caught my mummy and daddy by surprise! My birth wasn't quite as uncomplicated as I would have liked. If you want to know the gory details, click below. I assume at this point that your a mum type, and not a bloke! (don't worry there's no pictures here!)
